OUR STORY
YOU HAD (BANH) MI AT HELLO!
Our story began in January of 2015 over Vietnamese coffee and Banh Mi sandwiches blocks from our mutual workplace in downtown Houston. A close friend & coworker asked us to take a long lunch with him at Les Givral, (Thanks Mason!) where we connected immediately over a love of travel and the outdoors. We were placed soon after on the same project at work (...again, thanks Mason!), but it was more than a half year of awkward workplace flirting, bike rides, camping trips, crawfish boils, and intramural sports, before Marko asked Sarah out.
5 years of memories later and we’ve visited Marko's extended family in Slovenia, learned to dive, traveled to SE Asia to see how Houston's Banh Mi stacked up against the real thing, purchased our first home, and welcomed a needy 55 lb lap dog and a self-assured dumpster cat into our family. A year ago, Marko surprised Sarah by proposing on a weekend trip to Mexico City, and of course, Sarah said yes! We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin and are so happy to celebrate with you this November!
XOXO

Marko & Sarah
UPDATE:
VIRTUAL
CEREMONY
Considering the current Corona Virus levels in Houston, we have made the tough decision to change our event to a virtual ceremony except for our immediate family and wedding parties.

The ceremony will be streamed via YouTube Live at three-thirty pm CST. We will be tying the knot in the country, so we do have some concerns about the quality of the connection, so if it goes down we will also share a recording afterward.

LOVE IN THE TIME OF CORONA

Because of the persistent Corona levels, we have decided to change our wedding to a virtual ceremony on November 7 of this year and hope that you can join us online to celebrate our marriage from the comfort of your own home.

We love you and can’t imagine our big day without you, but your health and safety are so much more important to us than you joining in person for our ceremony. We demand to celebrate with you later. Since public health concerns mean we cannot gather in large numbers, we hope to hold a second celebration of our marriage (and perhaps even a dramatic reenactment) sometime in the future.

When the corona virus risks are a thing of the past, we can’t wait to see you, to hug you, and to celebrate the joy and love that the we have found in each other.
